Default You Know Your Unfit When..

    A 20 min Jog/walk makes you vomit!

OMG I am so unfit! Why is putting on weight so easy but losing weight so bloody hard!

I now do 20mts on the treadmill at about 3.7km on a slight incline but I will not be jogging on it. It is more for movement...move it or lose it than anything else. I will work up to a bit higher pace gradually. Been doing it daily for a week now. I tell myself that my dogs can not come inside till I have done it and that thinking works well for me.

Chemotherapy knocked the stuffing out of me and it has taken a while to come back from it but I can't use that excuse anymore as it has been 18 months, lol.

    Good luck Bully.
Why don't you do a thread that you have to report into weekly as incentive to keep on going?

I don't think I could run/jog for 20 minutes straight either. I hate just pounding along.

But I can and do play full games of hockey. I know I'm not quite fit enough when I wish the half would end about 10 minutes before it does.

    I like that idea Di.

BL - i am trying to get fit and lose weight too. Maybe we can start an online "weight watchers" type thread but instead of reporting on weight just report on what excercise we did that week and if we ate well or not....?

I have Wii Fit, so much fun! I hate exercise... with a passion, but love getting on the Wii and doing the exercises. Work up a sweat too with some of them.
We have a couple of extra bits, 1kg weights the controller slips into plus a platform to raise the balance board for the step exercises.

I used to get on the exercise bike a lot, but the seat is rather... painful. I need one a bit more padded
