    Woohoo for gays

BL, a couple of weeks ago I went to the Queens Ball, BEST night out I have ever had.
It's basically a fundraiser for the LGBT community, it was hosted in a nightclub but they had 5 drag queens performing, a couple of drag kings and multiple other performances through the night.
It was themed too, I went as a geisha (sorry, no photos).
    Can't wait until next year.

    Love the poster!

Australia is a little bit backwards when it comes to gay rights...I was quite shocked when I arrived and found out they didnt recognise gay relationships. They do now though...I onyl know this as my boss is gay and his husband was on a work visa, but as of July last year (or maybe the one before) he could get a "spouse of an NZ citizen" visa.

About 7 years ago I was a witness for a lesbian commitment ceremony.
Bron got choked up and could not read what she had written so I did it. She was choking up for the vows too till I whispered in her ear.."there is no way in hell I am saying your vows as I WILL NOT marry the bitch"

    ****phobic?

As a gay woman, I just want the same rights as everyone else. Being gay is no more a choice than your hair (minus dye ) or skin colour.

Rid, that means you're afraid of lesbians and gay men. Phobia is just fear of what you don't understand. I think the world just needs more education.
