    Default Discount Airlines

Tiger Airlines - would you fly them now? Have you flown with them in the past?

I have always avoided using the airline as I have always thought that the massively discounted prices woul dhave to affect quality and safety. It seems like it was too.

I had never heard about them until the news segment xD I have to agree with you. What are they lacking on to make their prices so low?

Was it Tiger that said they were going to keep flying even though all the other companies had ceased flights because the ash cloud made it too dangerous?

im so glad i didnt choose tiger for my holiday in 2 weeks to gold coast.
we were tempted by the cheap flights but remembered the irate customers on good friday when we were collecting $$ for the RCHGFA as their flights had all been changed and delayed 8 hours with no notice given.

    we chose jetstar thank god.

a friend from work was ment to fly with tiger tomorrow to GC with her family who all got $35 flights.
on sat when it hit the news jetstar and virgin had increased prices to $250 minimum and all stopped in syd (6hour flights)

she decided to drive insted but i would have been devistated.

I have never flown tiger. Maybe that has to do with them not flying to my usual destinations. I certainly would never fly with them now.

i will NEVER. and i mean NEVER fly tiger again. my flight was at 2:30pm, we left at 8:40pm. and got in at 12ish because we were stuck in the air because of no area on the runway!

Asharee - wow. When was that?

Pugger - I don't consider Jetstar a real budget airline. They do offer speacials and they at cheaper than most but they're nothing like Tiger. I fly Jetstar regularly and have since they first came out and I have never had a problem with then. I have flown domestic and international with then too

I am not sure if I would use jetstar or Tiger....I am afraid of flying....unless a airline is reputable, I have not used...

I've never flown Tiger, and don't think I ever would. I always go Jetstar (both international adn domestic) and every single time, vow to never do it again. Then do, when it comes to the punch and comparing prices etc
Last time I went to Vietnam, Jetstar lost our bags, and we were without them for 4 days without Jetstar being able to tell us which city they were even in (there were 3 options!). Then a flight was cancelled without notice, and I've never had one that wasn't delayed. SIGH.

But you know, they've been half the price of other airlines whenever I've booked (internationally, in particular). I love travelling, do it whenever I can, and now that I'm a student again, low prices are really .. what attract me. But not so low that there's clearly something dodgy going on. Too good to be true is too good to be true
