    Default Any Advice?-Bruise After Massage

Well....I am not sure what I need to do about this.

My upper body has been aching after massage this morning, so my partner checked my back. Yes there were these bruises and red marks on my back.

Even after two Neurofen Plus, I still have discomfort and do not know what I should do. I am quite angry about it.

Has anyone have a similar experience? What you reckon I should do?

I did asked for firm massage initially and after for a while I asked for gentler massage a few times.
I love cooking but I love eating even more.

    Take some photos

Sometimes I'd have all sorts of marks (can't remember a bruise) and ache quite a bit after a massage. But not enough to piss me off. Then again - I play hockey.

I'd get really really tight in certain areas and massaging it would break up the structure, though I'd never let the guy start hard in those areas, he had to work in or I'd sieze up completely and make him stop. I think I clobbered him once. Reflex spasm I called it.

But if I was unhappy - what would it take for you to feel better about it.
    1. I'd show the guy (or his boss) a photo and ask for a refund
    2. I'd find somewhere else to go to.

Thanks Hya, My partner already took some photos. I am very used to massages due to my shoulder sundrome but I never experienced bruises before this incident. I think I will call the place see what happens.

No it was not. It was the most common remedial massage. If it was like a deep tissue massage or anything like that, I would have not been too surprised that.
What is really annoying is that the bruise pattern is random. One is along the right neck and along left shoulder blade and the other one is below right shoulder.

Anyway I called the Healing XXXXX centre, notified of my condition, but I am still waiting for a follow up call from the manager. I am disappointed about that.

    Hi Hya,

I have lodged a complaint to OFT, as I did not hear from the manager after a few phone calls. I am not after any compo as my private insurance paid the whole amount this time but did not like their attitude/practice in health service area. Physically (if you are interested ) I am fine. I think I go back to my usual masseur.

    thanks hachna

Sound about what my last termite inspection company went through. The guy came around, busted some of my stuff with his ladder, never said anything, left...

He quit the next day. And then the company that was supposed to fix it, couldn't organise that either, so I did and deducted the cost from the bill they sent me for the not-inspection. Sigh.

    I've changed inspection companies.
