1000 litres of hydrogen peroxide alight at Kurnell plant

A THOUSAND litres of hydrogen peroxide has caught fire at a plant in Sydney's south.
Authorities were called to the fire at the Cook St facility in Kurnell around 6am on Friday .
"We have got 1000 litres of hydrogen peroxide alight," a NSW Fire and Rescue spokesman said.
"We are not putting water on the fire directly - we are protecting exposures around the fire."
People within about 800 metres were being evacuated.
The spokesman said the plant was not the Kurnell oil refinery.
