yep I love curries because they can be so easy & deffently right more dose not mean better when it comes to spice. I don't mind the 1's in the jar but I like to start with whole herbs & crush them myself & mix & match what I've learnt so far.
I feed my Indain mother in law a jar curry I tarted up a bit & she loved it & was amazed to find the base come out of a jar. They really do taste nice I think I just like the whole ritual of making a curry from scratch.

There's stacks of hints & recipe's on the net BP

Classic Mashed Potato Recipe - Taste.com.au

After mashing....I grate cheese & sprinkle chopped parsely into the mix before adding the milk, remember to add the milk gradually, then salt & pepper to taste.

If the kids hate pumpkin, just cook some butter-nut pieces with the spuds. it's a milder flavour pumpkin, turns the mash a golden orange colour & the kids will never know

Like Chips says what are your tastes?
I would be very interested in the Indian. I love all Asian food, but Indian is still my favourite....I love the way it tastes even better two days later
