Yed instant noodles are a must & a can of baked beans but remember the can opener because after your partner gets it open with an ax there just isn't much left, lol.

    Fire pit

Just a shallow hole with rocks around it will do. When the flames die down the coals turn white & your ready to cook.

    • Wrap corn cobs with a drop of butter & whole unpeeled potatoes (prick them first) in tinfoil, place them into hot coals till soft. This is so easy & very yum.
    Dutch Oven,
    • Make a stew. Grab some casserole packets in flavours that grab your fancy. Fill pot with potatoes, onions, celery, carrots, garlic salt & pepper etc, diced meat of any type & top up with water. Whack on the lid & bury into hot coals, cover lid with coals. Grab a few drinks & wait about an hour.
Photos of ovens, mine is the plain cast iron type dutch oven - Google Search

    • Everybody grabs a tin from the larder
    • Examples...baked beans, spagetti, tinned fruit, pal etc
    • Peirce tops of tins & place them into coals,
    • The labels burn off & adds to the excitement

THIS sounds like it could be either really funny (should you get the nice stuff) or really BAD should you be the unlucky one and get pal or something equally ..ummm.. "yum".

Ummm, the pal was a joke Lisa

Many moons ago in the army we used to combine whatever rat packs we had into one weird looking mess.......suprisingly the mix of flavours was a nice change

PS DH, you can get dutch ovens (camp ovens) from camping shops. They need to be seasoned just like a wok & never, ever use soap.
When the contents are served, grab some bread & wipe the gooey sauce from the bottom (very yum), then just rinse with water, dry it & light smear of cooking oil will keep it from rusting.
