Need a fast instant dinner thread.

I had pasta carbonara. 8 minutes for the pasta, and about 5 minutes for the sauce, in the same pot as the pasta so less washing up. I also make a pesto sauce in the same pot but it helps if I have some daylight to go pick the parsley/warrigal/basil and chilli cos otherwise caterpillars, spiders and dead bits are a risk.

And if I have stuff in the freezer - even quicker.

And then there is the good ol zapped potato... with cheese, carrot, mayo, sour cream on top. Diet what diet?

And then there is the toasted cheese, chicken and mayo sandwich - six minutes.

Or just sardines on toast with hoysin sauce, - as long as it takes for toast to cook and load it up. No way you could raid maccas and be home in that time.

So does anyone else have home cooked fast food recipes / strategies?

i always try to cook more then is needed so I can freeze some for lunches or dinner for one...

does always work with my OH always trying to eat the leftovers before it even gets out of the pan.

Edit to say: tonight nothing in freezer and I was being lazy!
