They gave us an info pack saying when things needed to be done but it's the how hard is it to do that I'd be interested to know from a novice owners point of view.

The two farms we went to do their own feet trimming and get a shearer in once/year for the fleece.

I have heard they do not thrive well alone, as a pet. They need a friend. The only ones I have seen guard sheep here.

well i wouldnt recommend clipping feet yourself, or shearing for that matter. feet are quite hard to do and trust me you dont want to get it wrong! and sheering involves getting them on their backs which is no small task. Also if you only get one or two its quite hard to get someone out to do their feet and or fleece, as the payment isnt really worth the travel

MAC, if you have a good farrier and are able to get hold of a shearer easily who will come out and do the shearing (unless you wanna give it a go, but THAT I'd love to see, lol) - get mor than one. Def not a solitary animal. They will get depressed and be very unhappy, to say the least.

MAC, although they look cute and are wonderful and affectionate to their owners, they are very fierce protectors. Very.
