Exclamation DI!!! or Any Other Bird People!

i have a masked lorikeet in my yard (i dont know if it hit the window i didnt hear it at any rate) its squawking and tying to hop around but it cant fly and i can easily catch it. i put it on our outdoor setting up off the ground where it sat in the same spot for half an hour. it is raining (not heavily) so i lined a cardboard box with tissues and wrapped glad wrap around it (in an attempt to water proof it) and lay it on its side and put the bird in the box so it will be warm (i heard thats important)..eek what should i do?? gyps actually found it she didnt hurt it was just following it around...it does'nt have any visible wounds and its wings are sitting properly and its feathers are all in place and it looks in good condition.. HELP

hey it might just be stunned
Keep it walm, dark and quiet and see if it improves.
Beyond that maybe take it to your local wires or something.
    Luck!

ring your local zoo, yes Melbourne Zoo and ask them for the number of the local bird rescue or wildlife rescue people.

All I got with google was NSW and QLD organisations.

You could also try phoning the RSPCA.

wait, I finally googled "fauna rescue victoria"

For injured wildlife please call Wildlife Victoria’s 24hr Emergency Phone 13 000 94535

you could ring now, they might say the same, or they might have some advice that helps like put the box where cats can't get it, or the bird needs an overnight rest, bring it in...
