Default Do You Listen to Your Ipod While Walking the Dog(s)?

    why/why not?
    Just wondering?
Am starting to get bored of the sound of cars, kids and birds lol. Was thinking about bringing my music along but leaving one ear out so I can hear of any rogue dogs or whatever danger would be handy to hear.

Of course I jog with Dora, and without my earphones firmly in my ears, I feel like an idiot (maybe cos I look like one???). I live in a very suburban area, but no one lets their dog offleash, and we dont get many strays, so Im not fussed about not hearing about rogue dogs.

Yep, I do. Not loud enough that I can't hear my surroundings though.

    No, definately not.

My walk with my dog is just that - with my dog. Our time, her and me. I talk with her.

If others come with me, well I talk with them too.

In hindsight, I just talk, so therefore earplugs or thingies would mean I can't talk, and can't focus on Logan. Thank God I have a dog who likes to hear me talk. PMSL.

I can't do those plug in thingies. Hurt my ears. The ones that hang over your ears, they hurt too. So that leaves over the top headphones things, which fall off when I run or chase the dog. So why bother.

I'm also worried that I won't hear someone coming up behind me, or a car, or a dog fight or upset/screaming children or someone yelling at me because my dog has managed to sneak a number 2 out without me noticing. Usually happens when I'm picking up some other bad owner's dog turd.

Lots of other people do wear ear phones when they're walking the dog and it's very annoying because they don't hear when you yell at them because their dog has done a number 2 and they haven't picked up. Or their dog starts a fight or is generally a pest and you want them to get their dog to leave you alone.

    I dont, for two reasons.

    1. The battery in my ipod is always flat

    2. The whole time I'm walking I'm saying "stop!", "leave it!", "come on!", or "good boy" so I'd look like more of a stooge with my ipod in

(ps. Stooge - a person who knows what is going on but acts as if they do not, and act in a way to purposefully make others make the wrong choice)(I used it in the wrong context, I just like it ) you never know when you'll be on millionaire hotseat and that comes up as a question
