    Default Ironing Board.

I honestly can not remember the last time I Ironed.
Hubby's work clothes don't need it and good stuff I make sure I can hang on the line properly and put away.
The ironing board broke many years ago, never to be replaced and the iron has black gunk on the bottom (I think)

Hubby plays social bowls..not bowling alley but on a green. It is quite popular here and he and Jim enjoy it and it gets them out of my hair (If I had any)

Hubby has now decided he will play pennant bowls, traveling around some weekends.
    This requires the white uniform
    this requires Ironing.

He says he will learn lol.
He is in town today buying an iron and ironing board.

I have a few things that need ironing in the cupboard that I have not worn for years as I stupidly thought would not need ironing, for him to practice on before he does his whites.

You have an ironing board, di?

Wow. Just put the clothes between the mattress and the base of the bed, works a treat.

LOL, I must admit I have very quickly adjusted to this new life of ours by not ironing. As you know our iron died a few weeks ago and I just can't seem to find it in me to purchase another although I am sure the time will come.

My Dad loved his pennant bowls, he was president of his club for many years until about 4 months before he passed away. It was great for him socially, physically (although betting your OH gets plenty of physical on the land) and also mentally. I have a VERY soft spot for bowlers.....I grew up around the green and I am delighted it has blown off the old mans image as so many young people are now enjoying the game.

I also hope you can get out and meet some new people as he travels around playing. You never know who you may meet out there
