    Default What Do You Regret?

Not to be all morbid or anything and I know your not supposed to regret- does no good. But I think honestly we all have something we regret...
My biggest is not finishing school and dropping out in year 10. I pay for it everyday! (so note to the youngsters on here- stay in school!)
My other regret was moving to the big smoke and leaving my childhood dog behind with my mum and never seeing him again due to an unfortunate accident
So is there something you wish you could go back and do over?

I can't have kids, but I wish I'd adopted or something when I was younger.

All the things I've done....travel, scuba diving, motor bike riding, competing in sports etc hasn't made up for the fact that I'm it. It stops with me.

I regret never having finished school and am paying for not having a uni degree, even though when I left school a uni degree wasn't a big thing in the world of computers and finance in the late 70s!
I regret having a child when I was 17 and having to adopt him out because I had no way to look after him, even though he is back in my life these past 6 years.
I regret having left Queensland and moving to Newcastle to be with son and grandson, because I lost my career and have been stuck in a bad job (due to no uni degree), and a son and grandson who have used up all my finances and treat me like sh!t!

I possibly have a few things in life I could regret - but I don't.

Because every bad thing teaches me a valuable lesson and makes me the person I am.
    Hope that makes sense?

This is honestly how I feel, I am not trying to sound sage or worldly wise.

When younger there were probably things I wish I had done differently or could change.
I think I can say this as I am in a place of contentment and have been for a long time (I also know how very, very lucky I am to be there and if it was different my answer would probably be different)

I feel that all the mistakes, the what if's, the regrets along with the positive moves have made me the person I am today. Have enabled me to accept and be comfortable in my own skin. They have given me strengths that I was not sure I had. I have lived in some rotten times/situations. They were not good at the time but looking back would I change them? No. They have made me who I am and I like me.

Any posts made under the name of Di_dee1 one can be used by anyone as I do not give a rats.

I regret not traveling o/s with friends in my gap year, but then again I wouldn't of met my husband if I did...although somedays that sounds like a good lol.

I also regret trying to please everyone when I was younger.
