Yeah Angela, I'm the same - ask lots of questions, cause otherwise I'd never learn much. Lol.

I post long posts often, not because I could talk the legs off a table (which I obviously could ) but because it helps me to get my point across better, hopefully without too much misunderstanding.

Mind you, having said that, I honestly feel that moderating on this forum has also taught me a heck of a lot and helped me to communicate in a better way.

Others may post more words in an effort to try and get around this type problem.

Apart from obvious times when people are not getting on, I feel that the typed medium is the real culprit along with how a person is actually feeling in themselves on the day which may or may not distort their perception of words, on both sides.
    Excellent way of putting it!

It's probably good that it's just typed words though in my case, else I'd be getting slapped all the time to shut up and take a breath.

ETA: you get offended when people say that dressing up a dog is seriously unnatural...but that is THEIR opinion...why should they then have to explain themselves to you?
There have been times when i feel like i am being belitted here at this forum..

Please direct me to where i have had a go at any member on this forum for disliking the SBT....i am totally confused about that statement..

They don't have to explain themselves to me & i have never asked them either.. so i am at a complete loss as to what your saying??????

That is what sucks over the net. You can't see the body language, you can't hear the tone of voice and you are not able to view the faciel expression of the posters. Therefore, posts can be viewed in different ways. Thats why we seriously have to look at all the alternative ways the post could be viewed when writing/replying posts.

INSTEAD of jumping to conclusions (I've done it in the past!) we need to think. Will this post come back and bite me on the arse? Am I understanding this post correctly and am I reading it how the poster intended it to be read?

AF I don't think I recall you having a go at anyone - and I might not post as much as some but I have been around here for a little while.
Sometime we others give you a bit of a stir because you're so passionate, but it's all in good fun.

Maybe people are misconstruing your passion for aggression? I certainly don't, but people read what they want to in posts sometimes.

If it's all getting too "hot" for me, I give it a rest on reading & contributing & dip my toe back in the water when I feel I'm up for communicating again. I'll post something when I've got something to say. It's all "fire & forget" with me these days though ..... "Here's a bit of info that I've picked up along the way for what you're asking about & if you don't like it, no worries, you'll work it out with some other info."

Being on forums is like raising kids. Everyone has an opnion about the best way to do everything. The best thing for people to do is pick the bits of info and advice that suit them best. And nod and smile at the rest.

I've said it before on here - we're all different and that's what is great about this place. If we were all the same it would be dull as dishwater. Lets enjoy the differences that are around - them's the good bits!!
