    Default Career Ideas

I'm feeling rather bored and lost. At the moment I'm very flat out and feeling like nothing is being accomplished.

I'm bored with my job. At the moment I'm an executive assistant for a dance and talent management company in Brisbane. Before that I worked at a law firm where I started as an office assistant and worked up to executive assistant before we were relocated here.

Basically I feel like an office assistant with a glorified title, there is nothing even remotely challenging about work at all. So I'm looking for ideas for a new career path.

I'm studying at the moment and I've been running my own business for a few years, but I don't want that to be my full time job.

I'd like something where I'm not shut in a back office somewhere

At the moment I'm thinking things like Medical Reception, possibly human resources, but they're office based again and I'm not sure that I still want to work in an office.

Any suggestions? Oh, retail is out I worked for coles after school and when I first left home (about 3 years) and I couldn't do it again, I detested it!

You're asking me? Well, no of course you're not, cause I've been asking you!

Office work = yuck IMO. Couldn't do it. Have you thought about becoming a vet nurse, or something in the animal welfare trade?

Hey I know, consider the GSD pup and put all your time into training him! Lol.

What about something like a Dental Assistant? You're still inside, but you see tons of people every day, and it's quite interesting work. I did it for 4 years and enjoyed it.

I'm an office assistant/PA too, and I know how you feel. You seem to do all the hard work for everyone else, and still cop all the crap....

Hey C&B, off topic, but where are you and how long have you got here. My boys go back to school on Monday (I think/Ihope) so where will you be then?

What are you passionate about? What do you LOVE doing?

Is there a way you can turn those things into a career or a job?

I think thats the best way to think about it...makes going to work each day much less of a chore and more of an enjoyment!
