    Hubby has burnt games and copies them all the time, that's for the PS2 and PSP. To the best of my knowledge you can for the 1st version of the PS3, but none of the others.

    There are ways to shrink the games so you don't lose any quality or game play.

    In order to play burnt games you have to have a 'modified' console. Basically chipped so that it is capable of playing the games. Hubby had his done for around $40.

    I'll let you know what he does once he's awake again to tell me

    Yes that is true.. but if you modify the console then you forfeit the warranty & Sony wont repair any modified console, nor will the game store exchange, repair or refund the cost of the console if it's still under warranty.


    I think the OP was meaning to burn & copy the game disc it's self

    You have to modify the console or it won't play burnt games. Hubby got his done after the warranty had expired

    If you don't have a modified console, copying the games will do nothing but waste a whole lot of discs!

    I'm getting confused now too

    I have had the PS2 for a long time, i am sure the warranty is long gone! I was going to give it away, till i found and fell in love with singstar
