    anyone know if it is still good if it has been opened for a couple of weeks?

    All of the above, yes it can but taste test is best.

    Wine in a cask can most definatly go off, and is then more dangerous... shouldnt tell this story...but... Many years ago while sitting in the spa, Nipper (basset x cocker sp) stole a cask that we had tossed aside because it tasted funny... she ended up in hospital for more than a week with alcohol poisioning... she didnt drink very much, but it was potent...
