    Newsbreak here re the cyclone in Qld heading towards Townsville. I'm SURE we have members from Townsville here.

    is everyone okay? Oh duh, if you're not you're not gonna be able to answer me, are you.

    My SIL is in Townsville. All is ok there, bit of rough wind and rain but she says it's no different to the bad storms we get here.

    Could possibly get worse later on. Proserpine is set to cop the brunt of it AFAIK.

    Just another fizzer, from catagory 5 down to a rough storm. The last few up here have lose a lot of force by the time they cross the coast which is a good thing BTW!

    Hit the coast at cat 3, didnt it? thats not a fizzer.... this is how people become complacent. Each system is different and you dont want complacency when dealin with cyclones.
    Good luck to all in the clean up.
