Thread: Just a Thought

Why I was thinking of this idea was there are so many sad things that happen, loss of best friends, sickness etc, this may give a burst of positiveness and happiness and just some good fun as well. It may also give those who are feeling down. something that would put maybe a smile on their faces! I hope DA, Dorte and Morgan are able to nut out the logistics of this and the best and fairest way to go about it!

    Meh

I'd give the bad luck award to Di Dee - though I know she wouldn't want it. I woudn't want one of those either.

Or do you mean bad luck just this week kind of award?

Our radio station has a "caller of the week" award. They get invited to a christmas party at the end of the year. This week's winner when to a caller who told a story about recycling that involved one of his co-worker at a sewerage processing plant, going through the "separation tank" to retrieve valuables like Clarky/Bingle's ring, but also many false teeth. And about people coming in to try them on. And something icky about fit and flavour. False teeth used to be very popular before teeth straightening, and very expensive.

Damn right I wouldn't want it as there are so many here far worse off than me here going through physical or emotional pain. I really mean that too. As I have told my family, get on with your lives and be concerned for me when I tell you it is time to be, lol. They re all happy with this as they know me well and know I will not hesitate to do so should I have to.

It is a great attitute Di, but the bad luck award I think would be for something like a silly accident (there have been a few this week, including fractured ribs, hands, thumbs etc).
You Di deserve flowers for being the person you are and sharing your battle with the bitch!

What a great idea. Why don't we have a "slush" fund for sending flowers. Loved ones (dogs) passing away, weddings, births etc. We're still fairly small as a forum, so I reckon it'd be "doable". There's enough of us, that it would only take a few bucks from each of us to send a nice posy where appropriate.

You Di, will get the biggest award of all when you have beaten the bitch into a pulp!

When I hit 5 years I am gonna travel around and meet you lot and pooches, a victory tour so to speak. (even Tassy, son may even be relocated there by then but even if not I get to see it and DA and Hell. one other here is moving there...I claim chemo brain in my defence of not recalling who it is) Told older son we have a river boat cruise at 3 years and after treatment we are doing a family holiday.

Sounds like a great idea! We need someone to look after the "slush" fund and a way of banking etc.
