Default Do You Have an Accent?

Since we are all from different regions, states and across the Tasman, I was wondering what you all sound like.

Thought it might be fun to hear audio/vid clips of everyone saying a few words.

(I know a few of your have met or talk via phone)

Nope...but I was born in South Africa. We moved here when I was 10 years old.

My parents still have very strong accents but my brother and I lost ours.

I do sort of, cant get an audio of it, I was born in Perth WA and there is a very english accent thing going on in WA due to so many english people moved there. Went to Bundaberg region, Gin Gin to be exact and there is a drawl gonig on like people dont open there mouths enough when talking.

I think I have an english drawl lol..

OT stange thing there are also different words meaing the same thing, school bag = Port in qld etc.

It done my head in and I ot very upset when at school a teacher told me to go outside and put a book in my port. I had no clue wtf he was on about, I thought port naturally meant by the seaside..you know for ships and things. lol.

So to all you Aussies. Is there a distinct accent from the different parts of Oz? Because you all sound pretty much the same to me. Some have a stronger accent than others but can you tell where people come from by their accent like you can in the UK?

    Depends on who I'm around!

To this day I can't watch british shows as I start talking with a very strong british accent. Same with Spanish and French.
