Default Do You Have a Bicycle?

If so what type, how often do you use it, what is it used for etc.

I have two, an electra cruiser with no gears that I cant ride in hilly areas, But t looks really cool. And a mountain bike that I have now turned into a touring bike.
I am using it to go bicycle camping to far flung places.

Yep Beau. I have a bicycle. It is a Shumani (?) mountain bike. It has sat in the shed for many years. Lol.

I have my little BMX. I love it to bits, ride it as often as I can when it's not raining. Yes I can do tricks on it although it's been a good couple of months since going down to the park. I go when the kids aren't there

When I bought it (2nd hand) I pulled it all apart, replaced the tyres and tubes, replaced the brakes and brake lines, replaced the grips and the chain too. Oh and the pedals and cog.

    I love my mexxie

I have a newer mountain bike I got for about $200 and an old mountain bike I got from my boyfriend when I didn't have my new one. Our Springer is attached to the old bike, but as soon as Keeda moves in it's going onto the new bike.

I've got three bikes. One is usable if I pump the tyres up, which I do about once a month. I was hoping I could walk the dog using the bike but I had several problems stop that.

    1. It's illegal to do that now. National road rules outlaw holding any animal by the lead while in or operating a vehicle including treadlies. Not sure if that applies to bike tracks or footpaths but we're not supposed to ride on the footpath in SA either. Though I will do that when I think it safer than the road.

    2. Dog is terrified of walking on footpaths and roads ie public roadways of any sort. So trying to walk her with the bike is um, difficult.

    3. Dog might chase the bike and try to bite the wheels though so far this hasn't been an issue.

I do still ride the trek hybrid but it's down to about once a month, short rides without the dog. Ie to the local shops for milk or similar.

I have two mixtie frame bikes. One is in reasonable nick - I think the tyres need pumping, it lives on my front verandah - I keep meaning to ring up the people who recycle bikes (fire station?) so they can find a good home for it. The other is melting high up on the wall of my mum's garage. I used to use it to commute into town. Much faster bike than the hybrid.

A friend I used to ride with - I can't keep up with on the hybrid. I probably could on the mixtie. Then again he's gone all amateur competitive, and got cleat pedals and lycra and a very expensive fast bike. And he does the tour down under companion rides ie the not-racing ones, the long ones, like 160km up and down some very big fast hills - blech.
