I haven't done it myself, but a gf had success on it, once she stopped getting the food she says a few kg came back though.

Are you buying their food or making your own?

Good luck with it TB! Keep us updated with your progress, having scoffed a load of choccy yesterday I looked up my BMI, I need to lose 12kgs to put me into the healthy weight range, atm I'm in the overweight range (just!).

With all the aches and pains I've had lately I think it's also an incentive to lose the weight so there's less stress to put on my joints.

Gahhh...motivation is what's needed, I just get too lazy when it comes to cooking for myself.

This week i am pretty much buying their food - only because i am working **** hours and just dont have time to work out points and foods, but i have monday off and am going to sit down then and do a few weeks worth of plans, so i can go shopping and know what I am doing!

I am sick of being sore all the time, i walk the dogs and am stuffed after 30 mins, and walking the stairs at work kills me! So time to do something!

Best of luck TB, I have 20kgs to go too. I did have 30kgs to lose.

My problem is indulging too often on salty foods. Although I have managed to fight the cravings and win more often than not Now I'm craving healthier salty foods and it helps a lot.

I also do yoga and pilates (pilates hurts ) and that's helping too I think.

ETA: Just make sure that what you plan is sustainable, so don't just work towards getting the weight off, it's keeping it off that is the problem. I've opted for a slower method to get the weight off as the eating habits are more sustainable than a dietary plan based on kilojoules and calories. Basically trying to make generally healthier choices all around I don't know if that makes sense or not.

All the best, I tell you what if you want to jump on a bicycle and ride up to my place you wouldnt recognise yourself by the time you got here. You'd be slim, trim, and super fit.
If you find yourself going through hell; Don't stay. Just keep on going.

I did weight watchers by mail 11 years ago and lost 18kg. I found the points system excellent. You are free to decide what you will eat and can blow your whole points on chocolate if you wish to lol (no I didn't but you can if you want to. I especially liked the 2 points for walking to either eat or save. I used them for glasses of wine. You will plateau out and when that happens and weight loss stops a while do not panic, it is all normal.
We put on weight slowly and slowly is the way to get it off with sensible eating and exercise. To my mind you chose the exact right way to do it and will learn a lot and have great support.

Any posts made under the name of Di_dee1 one can be used by anyone as I do not give a rats.
