Ikea has baby gates as well. And any of those huge baby supplies stores have. They even have those in Bathurst. Sigh - poor Tassie.

I want to find one of the tall baby gates. Seems pointless getting a standard height one. At the moment I have a temporary thing out of cardboard moving boxes and held in place with a heavy duty plastic cube with some lead in it (although phone books would probably do).

The above website is a bit light on details but they've got loads of different types of gates. You'd want to make sure it will fit whatever space you want it in (duh).

I think the things called "extension" are actually additional panels to fit an extra wide space, but it's hard to tell from the descriptions. I think I'd be emailing first to see what they're like - and if they don't answer your email - don't spend any money with them.

    Hi DA,
funny u put a post up on this, we bought one 2 days ago! Saw them on ebay for about 60 but wanted one sooner so got one from target. They had 3. We got the plastic one.

It was $89 (20% off at the time). Well worth the money spent. Took 10 mins to put up, doesn't need to be drilled into the wall as you twist the end to make it push into the wall.

Also has a latch to unlock the gate (just like a gate on a pool fence). It also shuts automatically.

Just need to be careful as there is a bar allow the bottom. Ash ran into it this morning when it was open, didnt get hurt luckily but gave him a fright.

I just bought a tall one today, didn't read it properly and it is a hall one and too big for the doorway. I need height too.

DA we've got 2, and we got them from Bunnings. I think they were about $70 each.

Bunnings is coming to Devonport soon!

It's for when Logan arrives, so bunnings at Launie is on the way to airport, so could just drop in then and leave a bit earlier.

Have sooo many suggestions of places to look. Thanks so much everyone. Much appreciated.
Logan was such an attraction for the fact that she has spent her life so far with cats. Just the baby gate would give me even more peace of mind till Simba adjusts - if she deos. My rescue cat seems to hate dogs. A work in progress. Sigh...

    OMG! How stoked am I?

Just had a peek at eBay for baby/pet gates, and was putting a few in my watch pile when I saw one that was just perfect about to go in 20 minutes.

Eureka! Got it for $20.50. It even has a cat flap inserted in the bottom of the gate, just perfect for Logan to stay upstairs while Simba can go downstairs whenever she wants.

    Thanks guys!!!
