lol does your husband burn eggs and call them specially done?
No, but when he cooks vegies they look like little process dried shrivelled up things in the end. Poor man, he's hopeless.

I will tell you one thing now though Rebec. What weight you are HAS NOTHING TO DO with a relationship. Give yourself a break.

While the kids are young I look after them at home full time. When they are in school I will go back to work then the household things will be evened out more, I will still do the bulk of it because thats just the person I am.

I am not chained to the kitchen barefoot and naked either, It is my choice to be a stay at home mum.

Exactly same situation here. My husband works and I'm the one home all day with the kids so it's only fair that I get majority of the housework done.
In saying that though, on his days off he does help out around the house.

Plus the fact that I would rather he enjoy time with the kids when he gets home from work rather than doing the cleaning.

my oh cooks once a week (always spaghetti!). he also comes grocery shopping with me. he helps around the house when i ask him to (which does annoy me, because i dont want to have to ask - i just want him to do it!). I do enjoy my housework, tbh. I love the feeling at the end, when its all clean.

hubby will be finding himself doing a lot more cooking etc if i dont get this bloody cast off tomorrow

My hubby doesn't cook...I do. He comes grocery shopping with me when I need it.

He works a full-time job and takes care of the yard, lawn and pool here, so I think it is only fair I take care of the shopping and cooking. I also look after the dogs, since he is not here.

Hubby works 7 days a week (own farm) but that leaves flexibility for trips to town, appointments etc. Best thing I ever did was go to the states for 5 weeks, not leaving cooked and frozen meals for him in the freezer as I usually did. He learned that a couple of cans of food mixed together got old really fast and learned to cook by phone, lol.

I am grateful for that too as he has no qualms about cooking a basic meal. He has at times had to take over some of the house stuff and does that without a grumble. My feeling too is that he works all the week, no set days off and his job is outside, mine inside. I am lucky that I could chose to be a stay home mum or work if I wanted to.

Any posts made under the name of Di_dee1 one can be used by anyone as I do not give a rats.
