I know it seems a lot hey, but that is on a big week shop & worse case scenario.... we luv our food in this house & often have family or friends here on weekends for bbq's etc..

Not every week we spend that or go out to dinner etc.

I am really enjoying that hubby is now doing most of the shopping. He comes home with extras. I used to love it on the rare occasions he came shopping as he would just throw great stuff into the trolly whilst I was trying to be a good girl and stick to the list, lol.

Any posts made under the name of Di_dee1 one can be used by anyone as I do not give a rats.

There's a little fruit and veg store and butchers in Yamanto. The butchers is split into meats and poultry and gives really high quality meats.

The fruit and veg store are cheap with high quality goods there too.

They're probably the best place I can recommend, I've never had a problem with either.

Do you know the street they are on? I'm still hopeless with suburbs! But my GPS isn't!

    Does AF live near you???

Lol. I'm from the mainland originally Amy. I have found Hobart expensive too!
I think electricity is dearer here (maybe???) but other than that, I find it cheaper in many ways. Probably because everything is so close. I can drive from one end of the island to another in practically the time it took to get from the Fraser Coast to Brissy once upon a time.

We sometimes do our groceries online and it's been cheaper than actually going to the supermarket every time.

We normally spend roughly $120 per week (and there's only 2 of us!) and doing it online it was about $70!!!!

I worked out that online I wasn't impulse buying, and I had no excuse for not remembering if I needed something or not, because I could just get up and check. I'm hopeless at sticking to my list in the supermarket because I've usually written the darn thing in about 2 mins without really checking anything properly!
