    Default Microsoft Exel and Graphs?

I was wondering if anyone here knows about graphs in exel??
I am trying to get a bar graph that shows value (a) is so much of value (b) and I need to udate it weekly. I can do the first bit by just overlaying the bars bit I cant get them to look nice when I shrink them and they are not really easy to update.

So if anyone has any ideas they would be apreciated

I'm not quite sure what you mean. Do you actually want a bar graph (horizontal) or a column (vertical)? Do you mean that you want to display a as a percentage of b? So let's say a is 34 and b is 75, that would be 45.3%. So you would have:

    week 1: 45.3%
    week 2: 27%
    etc?

Or a column graph with 'b' on the bottom and 'a' on the left? If so, when you get to the source data screen, select the tab that says 'Series' instead of 'Data Range'. Edit the name, select the 'a' data in Values, and the 'b' data in the Category (X) Axis Labels.

Are you creating the graph as an object in your sheet or as a new sheet although (the top option in the final step of graph creation)? If you're not, it's much easier and you have a lot more room to play with how it looks, it's easier to read as well.

The easiest way to update in my opinon is to right click on the graph, and select Source Data. Then you can expand your selection by one for each week, whether by manually increasing the cell limits or by re-selecting the data.
