Oh AGB I think I'm in luuuuurve with you! I'm going to print off all these yummy recipes tomorrow. (Except for the one with mango in it bleerk)

I have a slow cooker and pretty much all I've cooked in it is lamb shanks - nooo other way to cook them, the meat falls off the bone. I just whack them in with a tin of crushed tomatoes and whatever herbs I have on hand for about 6 hours. Serve with mashed taties and yummo!

I'll have some more recipes to try out - main problem with a slow cooker is the excrutiatingly mouth-watering smells in the house while it's cooking!

Anytime! I will be posting a lot more this afternoon too. I just have to get them typed up

I love the slow cooker for wintery foods. Particularly casserole with thick gravy and mashed potato or pumpkin (cheesy garlic mash potato too, yummo!).

I will keep them coming for you all I promise!

I've never actually made the mango one before, if anyone does can you let me know how it turns out?

I can relate to the smells... I've usually got both animals tailing me everywhere I go when it's getting close to finished, cat yowling and Batty whining at me... Then Hubby gets home and every 10 minutes he asks if it's ready yet!

Well all, I had lamb shanks with all the stuff thrown in that angela posted re irish stew. I'm just a thrown it all in and hope for the best kind of person when it comes to cooking.

After dinner, my husband and I were sitting on the deck. Conversation went like this:
    Husband: How's your tummy, darl?
    Me: Full. Groan. How's yours?
    Husband: I can't move. Groan.
    Me: These recipes are great!
Husband: Yep, best meal ever! Thank those ladies for me, will you.
Me: I will when I can move.
    Husband: Groan!
    Me: Groan!

We were so full, we were still holding our tummies and groaning late into the night. Lol.

I've just cut and pasted all these yummy recipes into a word document, I will have to make a list of ingredients to get at the shops, but I think the moroccan hotpot will be first on the list.

Just out of interest, can anyone suggest an alternative to onions? I am not a big fan, and they don't agree with me (won't go into detail lol). I'm fine with garlic, leeks etc. I will use onion sparingly sometimes, but usually only about a quarter of what a recipe asks. Suggestions anyone?
