    Default Cleaning Pots?

I started to cook a liver in milk on low heat other night, long story short I think it cooked for well over 2hrs. The bottom of the pot is horrible, Ive tried the salt soak and bi carb soak.

Still pretty bad, just wondering if you have any tips before I try to just scrap it up and scratch the pot.

    TIA

Okay, from my little book of tips!

A paste of bicarb left overnight will lift burned food from cookware

Remove stains on aluminium and cast iron pans by boiling a solution of white vinegar and water in them.

Apple peelings or rhubarb leaves boiled in aluminium pans will also remove stains.

Boil a solution of bicarb, a little household bleach and water in non-stick cookware to remove stains.

I also have a scourer pad that doesn't scratch! Just had a look for the brand but don't have a new packet in the drawer...I get it from the supermarket, comes in a pack of 2, and they are brilliant! I can use them on my non-stick pans, on the kitchen sink etc.

Sorry, but I have to ask, why would you have to cook liver for so long??

It wasn't intended to be cooked that long.
