I don't know what to do.. I worry there's an owner out there very very worried.

You know the drill pugger, phone vets etc, put up some posters, if kitty is in good nick there will be an owner out there, probably not too far away either.

If I put up a poster some random may lie and say she's theirs to get a free kitten.
I will phone the vets though.

Don't put any description on the poster, just say Found Kitten please call xxxx, that way they will have to describe her. Try the vets first though, hopefully someone will have called, then arrange to drop her off to the vets to make sure she gets chipped.

    I'm in Kilsyth Vic.
I will get whoever tries to claim her, to bring a photo. She has unusual markings which should be described by the real owner.
Off to the vets to check for a chip tomorrow.. but there aren't any tatts on her ears so I doubt she has been chipped.

I hate to say this Pugger, given the overabundance of cats in shelters atm, but by law you need to surrender her...your vet may even insist on this. Bugger of a situation, I sure as hell don't envy you.

Can we not foster her? If no-one claims her we will keep her.

Legally, my understanding is that she would have to do her time in the pound and if no one comes forth to reclaim her, and if she passes their health and temp testing, then you could formally adopt her. As I say, bugger of a situation.

LOL at you!!!! A couple of hours ago it was all YUK, and now it's we WILL keep her if no one comes forward!
