My Family, Floyd & i had a beaut Aussie Day, we celebrated with family, had all day Aussie BBQ feasts, drinks etc. We decked the house out in AUS flags, balloons, streamers everywhere, had AUS themed table wear, plates, glasses etc etc, wore AUS fake tats all over us, even wore AUS themed clothing, cossies, towels etc. Even Floyd wore a small AUS Flag as a cape, he's an Aussie born n bred Stafford too.

My OH had put AUS flags along the driveway & said that only Aussie made HOLDENS/ HSV's were allowed to park in our driveway, in which they did, my brother had to park he's jappy crappy car on the street

I am a very proud white born n bred Aussie & i'm more than willing to celebrate my Aussie history & celebrate our terrific National Day Jan 26th.

I know plenty of whites like that too. Now, racist scum??? did you miss the part where I said I feed & give them a bed, my kids love to play with Courtly, Tanaya & Camelia so please dont call me scum. I respect anyone that respects themselves, & I did not generalize an entire race, just most of them. I go on what I see, come up to FNQ & see for yourself. As for your kids????? Ummmm, tell them whatever you like. My kids are taught everyone is equel, I also teach them self respect.........think about it.

You were called racist scum for generalizing an entire race on one family.'
If you like, I can tell those kids which you so graciously feed, what you really think of them and their mother.

    Good grief.

I know for a fact that the entire race is not like that, some of Hubby and I's best friends are indigenous to this country. BUT I hold issue with every single one who has a job handed to them on a platter, along with a house, a new car, make ONE payment on it (around $200 for a $50,000 - $80,000 car) the government pays for the rest of it, then they drive it till it runs out of fuel and dump it.

They pull up the floors and pull down the walls of their houses that they have been handed and BURN them then ask for a new one, which they promptly do the same thing to. And we keep handing these people more.

I also have issue with the ones who decide to lay themselves across the roads and act like they have been hit so they and a group of their friends can hijack the car and the person driving. I learnt the hard way NOT to help. The first time I did I was knifed and left on the side of the road while they drove off in my car. I still bear the scar from this and I will NEVER forget the faces of those who knifed me. I hope for their sake they never EVER come across me again. After that (was the first drive I ever took in the NT), when hubby and I were posted in the NT I refused to even get groceries by myself. When hubby was away (which was about 2.5 years out of the 4 we were there) his collegues who were able to stay home took me shopping with them, otherwise I didn't eat.

Hell, it's to the point in the NT that the military personnel have to have an ARMED guard when they go to collect alcohol for an organised event being held on the base.

This is the behaviour that I abhor, not the indigenous people who work, feed their kids, obey the laws and are an asset to society - I have plenty of friends who are like this. Now, I realise that the indigenous people of this country have had a hard past, and frankly a disgusting one, so have the American Indians and so many other races too, but the past is past, BUT now they are HANDED EVERYTHING and are still saying how hard done by they are. If you can explain to me why I should have respect for people like that then be my guest, for the moment though I will judge each one on their own behaviour.

Capes & Floyd seem to go hand in hand. I remember when you posted a cool pic of him as Count Staffula.

I think the kids are great, never said any different! Yes, their mother is scum by putting alcohol in front of her children. Oh!!! I guess that is the white mans fault as well, forcing it down her throat & all???? Go & educate yourself on this issue, I"m done with you. BTW, like you had respect for me anyway, this may surprise you but I honestly dont care what someone such as yourself thinks of me.

You know what, racism debates never go anywhere because, quite simply, most people who encourage racism do so because they don't know any better.

Pugger, I implore you to leave the thread and just ignore the words that are said. It will be hard for you to view the comments objectively because you are so close to it, in fact, I find it impossible at times and I am not even indigenous.

Studies show that racism is borne from ignorance and fear. Hold your head high and pity people who do not have a broader understanding of the world and the people who live in it. Don't allow hate to enter your heart in this debate.
