I did french at school for about 7 years, a lot of stuff has just "stuck", I went and did some community college classes some years back to freshen up. Still forget a lot, but I love watching SBS movies when I can. I also did a few classes of italian, was fairly easy as it's so close to french.
I'd love to be fluent in another language, but what I know has got me by when I've travelled!
I'm slowly learning Italian at the moment, although I'm finding it far more difficult than both Spanish and French. Spanish is by far the easiest I've found so far!
I was made to take French in high school too! Although I was annoyed at first because I wanted Japanese (something different), I spoke French at home most of the time because my father didn't want me to forget where we had come from, I have to admit I was happy when I aced every exam they threw at me . Spanish is on my mothers side and I decided to start learning Spanish on a whim, found it to be easy and have just stuck with it.
Jeg taler kun dansk og engelsk...hvilket kan vaere lidt kedeligt = I only speak Danish and English...which is a bit boring
I've just tried to pronounce it...the dogs looked worried!
So merde is ok??
So its gone from Celebration Australia day to talking in different languages
1 of my bestfriends is Hmong and she has taught me a few words and phrases. The only words I know how to TYPE are:
Nyob = Hello
Kuu Hlub Koj = I love you
I can say sentences and pronounce the words, but its a whole other thing to remember how to type em'! LOL
