I'm smart enough to know that there are a lot of variables as to why little Scarlett is still with Kads. Great care, smart vets, good timing .... but I'd like to think a little sprinkling of "positive thoughts & kind wishes" by you all have also been favourably received by The Universe.

Kads is a bit tired at the moment. The heat & the hard yakka have taken a lot out of her & she's trying to rest up. Kads thanks you all for your posts & well wishes. It means a lot to her. She'll be along to post & "play" on the forum very soon ... when she's got the dust out of her throat & lungs for starters.

Well it is with a heavy heart and lots of tears that I let you all know that the lovely Miss Scarlet lost her battle with life on the earthly fields - she is now at the Rainbow Bridge waiting with all the others . If there was ever a foal that put in 100% to stay with us she was it.
Final diagnosis from the Vets was a form of Septic Arthritis which apparently started at the top of her spine near her head and just travelled down the spine. I have done a bit of reading on this terrible thing and there are numerous ways that it could have started, but I would drive myself NUTs trying to find an answer soooooooo I wil just hold on to the fact that she was pain free and much loved in her short life.
Once again Thanks for all your messages of support.

Oh No Kadbury, I was really hoping for a happy end to this one. You certainly did everything possible for Scarlett.
