    spiders..
Unlike White Tails and Redbacks who are exterminated on sight, I welcome Huntsman spiders in my house.. I am fasinated by them....

FACT... I sold my previous home because it seemed to be a magnet for Redback spiders.. Countless times we had exterminators in to get rid of the Redbacks, but the spiders always returned enmass after 3 months... Every day we would walk into a web inside the house. They seemed to breed in the ceiling like there was no tomorrow , and during the night would drop down using their webs to the floor. When my (baby) son started crawling, I just had to get out for the fear he would get bitten by a Redback.

Dis you have to try it! Imagine going your whole life without even trying it. You might have loved it!

I have some good spider stories.
First one is I was laying in bed, I could feel somthing on my arm, I thought it was a mozzie so I hit it, but it kept running, so I turned on my lamp and there was a black spider crawling on my arm!

I was laying in bed again and my cat kept pouncing on me around my stomach. I turned on the light and couldn't see anything, so I turned the light back off and shooshed the cat away. Then I felt something touch my face, I quickly brushed it away and turned the light on. A huntsmen was right on my shoulder, basicly on my neck. I think it had attempted to crawl across my face!

I would kill every cockroach any day. And yep, I would kill flies any day. I DO kill flies every day.
I don't kill ants as they don't bother me, nor bees, wasps, and would never kill a moth or butterfly etc.
I think it comes down to what we EACH see as a pest, and what we don't.
I don't dislike ants particularly but I kill them anyway as I don't want them to become a problem and they are only an insect.

The same with all insects and pests in my home, they are all killed. Huntsmans I must admit are not normally killed but that is only because my husband prefers to catch them and put them outside. However, when he isn't around, they are killed like any other spider.

Some of the stories in this thread are enough to cause a shudder down your spine! The cat one in particular!

Well we don't get the big black ones like in Sydney. They are about the size of a 5c piece and brown down here.
I've only seen a few in my lifetime.

Hehe, no I think a plastic surgeon's kit is still to large. You simply use two small syringes with very fine needles and then it is a matter of pulling the mozzie apart in a way that you end up with what you want
