Ok I'm not trying to offend anyone but seriously Australia has how much land for the bugs n stuff to roam around WHY must they pick my house?

Outdoors, no I wont kill unless there is a threat to my kids or dogs, such as the shed full of red backs, the wasps that attacked my boys the other day then ever so nicely CHASED me inside (please visualise this, me running FAST screaming and swatting with both arms shaking my head around like crazy, funny huh). Whatever else is out there.... if it isnt going to live inside my home rent free it can live, otherwise.... (see next)

Indoors, hell yes I will! Normally sucked up by the vac, then i leave the vac running and spray Mortein near the end of the hose to be sure! I'm not afraid of spiders, I am afraid of the feeling I get when they crawl up my leg or the fear that comes along with them being near my kids or dogs.

My sister is petrified of spiders, she lives 30minutes away from me and she will call me to come and remove a spider that is outside, she has anxiety attacks, sweats and has been known to pass out, so its no laughing matter when she calls (she has a 1 year old child, the last thing i want is her passing out leaving her bubba alone while she's out of it). She also WONT relax until she see's the body, she need's to see confirmation that it is dead, not moving and in the bin, so no vacuum for her spiders.

I don't sit there and giggle like some evil devil after I have squashed a spider.

Thats mean Kassie it's a slow torturous death I caught a huntsman last night in a jar and put him in the garden lol I feel rather proud of myself for being braver than my husband who tried whacking it with a tea towel and running off when it moved.... He's such a wuss.

My mum gets them with the vacc. It's the only way I feel safe. Otherwise I just cry like a baby. for your sister.

I read somewhere the reason people have such fears of spiders, crabs etc is because of their exoskeleton. Something to do with our brains register their bodies are totally different...Same thing with snakes. I'm probably talking garbage but it actually was an very interesting read.

I take the piss out of her for it all the time, shes my sister so I can lol but yeah when there is a spider around she is in such a state, you cant talk to her, you cant reason with her, the only way to get her to calm down is to kill it and show her the body.

It started when she was little, she climbed into a empty water tank which was on its side, they have the small round hole, well 2 spiders, both rather big were blocking her from getting out, she sat screaming in the tank for mum for what we guess to be around 2 hours before we found her, ever since then shes been petrified.

She has tried hypnotherapy, drugs and all but nothing has worked.
