Pet peeves - things I dislike

Drivers who tail gate - even when there is plenty of room to go round like two lanes and no traffic. If the zone is 80km/h or more, I clean my windscreen a lot. If it's less, I go slower and slower until they go round.

Drivers who cut in front of me or trucks and then slow down or stop. Really should make small car drivers do a basic course in physics especially the bit about momentum. If you cut off a truck, it's still going to shove you into the middle of the intersection and it won't be their fault, they can't break the laws of physics ie little cars need less distance to stop than BDouble trucks.

If only drivers would go through school zones at the school zone speed - I'd put up with it when school is out if they'd do it when school was in.

Drivers who do 10km or more under the speed limit without making any kind of use of their indicators that they intend to stop or swerve suddenly or generally drive like they're the only person on the road.

Drivers who don't let other road users change lanes.

Enough about drivers, move on to dog owners...

People who don't pick up after their dogs, or cover up dog poo with wet lawn clippings or leaves. People who put their dog poo in a plastic bag but leave the bag and the poo on the beach. ARRGGGHHH.

People who bring unvaccinated puppies out in public.

People who don't plan on being breeders but don't get their dog desexed. People that do plan on being breeders but won't get the genetic tests done and etc.

People who let their overweight beagles pee on other people's stuff at the beach. I so wanted to start a fight with that horrible woman. I suspect someone will eventually rub her nose in it.

People who let aggressive dogs off lead in public places.

People who leave their dogs outside on days over 40'C.

    Enough of dogs -

what about people with badly behaved children... I would so love the same rules about impounding dogs apply to people who let their children harrass and chase other animals.

And I dislike parents who let their children toss trash everywhere and don't pick it up. Check out most schools and sports ovals where juniors are.

Speaking of spoiling dogs - I do spoil mine and she is a surrogate child. I keep asking my mum for equal baby sitting time - she will baby sit my siblings' children but not my dog - and my dog is housetrained. Well better than my siblings' children. I don't decorate my dog with pretty clothes, and I do stop her from misbehaving in public and apologise if she does (instead of standing there laughing, or pretending not to see like some other dog owners do).

People who sit in the right hand lane on freeways doing 95k's

As for the coke seriously if you want to drink a soft drink why would you possibly want to drink anything else other than sugar. If you think sugar is bad, what do you reckon these chemical additives are doing to you. I say ban all diet soft drinks, legalised poison!!!

fares fair here! some of us parents work damn hard at trying to control our feral kids with no avail lol unfortunately there isnt a return policy!

coke zero and diet coke are 2 different things in terms of taste...

and i still don;t get the thing about "baby on board" it's not a medal thing its a safety thing, but that'll become more clear when you have your own and have to provide and be accountable for his/her safety...

My pet peeves are children that are left to run wild, it really irritates me. I agree with Hyacinth don't overtake if you are going to go slower than I was in the first place. People who speed through school zones, get tooted. People who let their animals come onto my lawn to crap, people who let kids come on my lawn to play. How there is NEVER a cop around when you need one but there's always a cop when I'm going 5 k's over the speed limit. People who talk to me like I'm an uneducated moron cause I'm a single Mum with four kids - treat me like I'm a moron cause I am one not because of what you THINK I am. And back to the "Baby on Board" signs - I don't have one of them but I do have one that says "Don't Kiss My Arse" and one that say's "Could you drive Any Better if I Shoved That Mobile Phone up Your Arse?" Because that is another one of my peeves if you want to talk on the phone pull over don't drive!

Sorry to all you parents out there, but I can't stand it when people just let their kids come running up to dogs. I've had so many kids come racing up to my dogs and attempt to throw themselves at the "cute little puppies". Mind you, usually these parents are nowhere in sight. I just turn the dogs around and walk away.

Oh, and my dogs are spoilt too and they're little dogs - if by spoilt you mean they have stacks of toys, are showered with love and attention, and are treated with kindness, respect and healthy amount of discipline to ensure they respect me back. You'll never catch my two being carried around in a handbag....

HY, I am in no way taking objection to your statement about dogs outside in 40 degree heat.
My dogs are inside or out in the heat. They are bred for the harsh environment. The pups go under the house, in a dug hole and sleep the hottest hours then cavort in their pool. If the dogs are a suitable breed and have the right coats I see no problem at all as long as there is lots of water and shade.

Normally it's not an "That was your fault" but a "Get out of my damn way next time". I hate this and the people who stop right in the middle of the main walkway of a shopping centre! I usually pretend I'm sidetracked by a window and ram into the group. Then I ask them "what were you thinking stopping there? You could have broken my ankle!"

Just have to say I cracked up laughing when I saw this! I'm still having a giggle!

Drives me absolutely insane too. That and the white men who talk like a stereotypical black male rapper or something. Sounds pathetic, makes you look like a tool and makes me want you to be made unconscious ASAP!

Drives me insane too. Down side is my neighbours have these kids, two on one side, three on the other, and another five in the cul de sac just off my street.... I drive to where I want to take a walk and drive back again just to avoid this. Hubby thinks I'm nuts, but I want Batty properly socialised with kids, not have them bolt up to him screaming in his face and crowding him!

I have way too many pet peeves to list!

Hehe I do this to people too - if you actually want to get where you're going in Melbourne inner city you have to! Works a treat on trams too, when people won't let you get to a seat or when you're trying to get off "whoops, lost my balance there..."
