Most of those kids are just looking for acceptance.. they are normally pretty unhappy, misunderstood and often victims of themselves and others.

Abby isn't Emo... Emo's are mostly full of the 'woe is me attitude'.

I'm just wondering what everyone is basing their opinions of Emo's on?

What they've read? What they've seen? What they've personally experienced themselves?

Reason I ask is that there are a lot of teenagers throughout the high school my son goes to, not to mention the high school he used to go to - and they really appeared to have a very different attitude to that.
My son used to come home and rant on about how queer they were. It hit me off actually, because he had never spoken to them, conversed with them at length or got to know them personally in the slightest! I guess I gave him something to think about, cause months later he told me he had talked to them, he had listened to them, spent some time with them, and found them to be very different to what is assumed.
They see their world one way, my son sees his different, but he has come to the conslusion that neither is right or wrong - just different.
I know an awful lot of young ppl who walk around with the 'woe is me attitude; the world owes me a living; oh I'm so hard done by!' Most of those young ppl I am speaking of are from wealthy families and are actually spoilt litttle brats who get everything other than their parents time and attention.

It just makes me wonder, that's all.
Feedback would be good, please, on other's experiences with Emos.
