    It helps too, to have someone to report weekly into, incentive to stay on track. I offer my services. Pm me if you would like to. I have done this for 2 other people and they said it helped so much as they at times thought twice before eating something, lol.

    Pugger, throw the reductil crap in the bin and eat more. What you are effectively doing at the moment is teaching your body to hoard energy stores. When your body is starved, initially it will burn through energy stores because it is running low. After sustained, periodic or frequent starvation, the body holds onto its energy stores instead for the tough times ahead.

    You simply can not reduce weight and keep it off effectively, and remain healthy, while starving yourself.

    I am not sure what your lifestyle is and a persons way of life will predict which is the best healthy eating plan.

    Here is what I would recommend based on what you ate;

    half a cup of muesli- untoasted muesli with skim milk, no sugar and freshly squeezed orange juice with a piece of fruit - sliced banana on muesli is lovely.

    Glass of water with a handful nuts (unsalted) or a piece of fruit or a vegetable such as carrot/celery

    a toasted cheese sanga on rye - Tomato, cheese and salmon/tuna on rye with a large glass of water.

    strawberries and blueberries with a tablespoon of Greek yogurt - plus a large glass of water

    and a garden Salad for dinner - with poached fish or chicken and yoghurt with a lashing of honey for dessert

    I have recently gone on a detox (my own version of "I am going to spring into 2010 in great shape!") and have spent this last week eating only fruits and veges. Nothing else (except coffee - 2 cups maximum a day with full fat milk). No bread, pasta, grains, dairy or meat of any kind. I have made soups and juices and even vegetable curry. I have lost 3 kilos without even trying. My aim was for a cleansing process and the wieght loss is an added bonus.
    A pessimist sees the glass as half empty;
    An optimist sees the glass as half full;
    A realist just finishes the damn thing and refills it.

    Hi Anne
    I think my metabolism is screwed from eating disorders as a teen and young adult (in today's society it's almost the norm), so now I hardly need to eat a thing and my body stores it.

    I'm a vegetarian but eat seafood and eggs.. like you I did a detox and lo carbed for 2 years.. no bread, pasta, rice or spuds. I only use full fat organic milk or A2 milk. Diet products are crap because they remove the fat content and replace with carbs... I also don't like processed foods.

    My biggest norty intake now is salt.. I can't seem to get enough of it

    I am now adding good carbs to my diet because of my loss of energy from lo carbing for so long and even the small intake of "good" carbs has made me gain 10 kg's in 2-3 months.

    So.. I will eat a bit more as suggested and drink loads more water and get off my arse and back to the gym LOL
