    Hmm,

I was going to post something rude about NY resolutions but it got all dark in here.

I don't make them anymore. Or I make resolutions and break them every day. The only thing that is special about NYE is the number of noisy parties going on around me and idiots wandering round the local streets after midnight. Batten down the hatches and hide.

Found several condoms on the oval and though I found it rather disgusting, used a dog bag to pick them up and put in bin. Cos I know if I didn't, Frosty would eat them, and we'd have to go to the vet and explaining those would be more embarrassing than picking them up and binning them. Unfortunately Frosty disappeared into the hedge for a while, and came out rather stinky. I'm not checking the hedge around the oval for rubbish - I'd never finish.

Ring worm dog was on the oval again. Kept Frosty away.

Found a rego tag attached to a slip collar on the oval too - see - that's why I don't let Frosty run around in a slip collar - what's the point, it would only fall off.

Hopefully get more sleep tonight. So long as the cats stay out of the back yard (and don't set Frosty off).

Just a sore spot for me..I'm aware of the statistics and it breaks my little heart.
Just hope no one here thinks I'm abusive

Thanks GSD, all great tips, the "budget" ones might be a bit harder as my day during summer means I don't tend to sit down to dinner until about 8, but I know it will work as that's what I did about 3 years ago and managed to lose 20kgs! I really had decided to go on a budget as my cash flow wasn't great at the time, I've managed to keep it off until the last few months, and that's stress eating, I'm trying not to focus on the actual kilos, but more how I feel. I actually lead a fairly active life with all the dogs and the horses, but as you say tackling the garden will be a good workout for me. It's the whippersnipping that gets me, I have a bad back and it kills, but has to be done. Whizzing around on the lawnmower is okay, but I'm dreading the weeding! Small steps as you say.

As for the dog grooming, it's just a case of getting my name out there, my best friend is a groomer (she suggested I get into it) who hasnt taken on new clients for years, so she has started to send a few my way (she knows what I can and can't do lol). So much of it is word of mouth, I know it will take time, but I love it and get a huge kick out of it, especially doing the older ones that need a bit of special care.
