Yep that's it! So people think until they see Jethro jumping around at the end of his lead "talking" the way they do and then they turn tail and run - if they let their dog come near he stops straight away - it's just his very excited way of saying come play.

Thank you Jodz! You're such an amusing girlie, I always get a smile when I read your posts.

I'm assuming OH is your partner, but what does it stand for? Other Husband?

Frosty's nemesis is a whippet that doesn't back off when a dog starts screaming. She's bigger than it now, so the last couple of meetings it has left her alone. Doesn't help that Frosty cowers in fear - as opposed to the friendly greeting roll over she usually does, cos the fear thing tends to trigger the attack whippet.

She gets on ok with other whippets. Another whippet in the neighbourhood now wears a muzzle after "learning" that to get a GSD to chase it (what fun) you bite them really hard on the ears and around the tail. Not good.

Frosty will take an awful lot of punishment before she will squeal. One of her ears was quite bent the other day after spending time being chewed on by my brother's staffie. No squealing at all.

Jethro's not mean he just gets really excited and then the minute he gets to play he's a wimp. Even the cats beat him up! He looooves other dogs - just a little to much and if you don't know him it sounds horrible!
