    Aww thanks!

So, how was training with Spirit today? Did she do really well on her first day of 2010?

I don't want to post where I live as it is a tiny town and with other info I've passed out someone could easily track down who I am. I'll talk to my mum then I'll PM you. I'd love to spend time helping out with the pei's so when I adopt my own pei, I'm fully prepared. My next dog will be treated as royalty, and of course, you will be bombarded with photos, emails and visits from us.
Looking forward to it. When I get the occassional day at home I usually head to the park with the gang. Otherwise its vet appointments, transports for the airport or to the pounds. I also spend time at our local pet food store chatting to people about rescue and pei. You would always be welcome to join me whatever the day holds!

Here are some pics from todays trip to the park for you to enjoy.

I've skipped training for a couple of days unfortunately. Everything you feel & think goes down the lead to the dog & they react accordingly. If you don't bring your "A game", the session will be frustrating for you & the dog & will be a waste of time. She needs the discipline & routine of daily work, but unfortunately my head hasn't been in the zone for a few days. Not to worry. I have a session with our mentor & trainer tomorrow. We'll see how much she's improved since last week when we front up.

OMG! GSD that's my birthday too and you've just described me to a tee. Everyone thinks Aries are always loud and 'in charge', born leaders and I think mmmmm no, not me at all, but as you say, push me too far and my Aries side will make an appearance for sure, especially as i get older.

Yep. We clearly understand each other very well. I detest the lime light. Last year the treats won best product with the Master Dog Breeders Association. I felt too uncomfortable travelling to Canberra & attending a dinner to collect the award, so someone collected it for me. Have you got "The secret language of birthdays" ? It's spot on for me & is probably the same for you as well. It's been very accurate for the people I've known & even more weird, spot on for my pets. I can scan your pages & send them to you if you like. You can send an email to me through my web site & we can hook up off line.

Thanks for that GSD, I have just looked at our library website and they've got it there so I've reserved it. Should make some interesting reading.

I'd also be very interested in reading about Leo's. My 17yr old son is a Leo and they're supposed to be 'Born actors' and love the spotlight. Now my son is quite shy and reserved and hates to stand out. Except, when he gets to know people and then he really wants to be the group clown and is one of the funniest people I know.

Dogs too eh? Jenna's birthday is 19 May, I think that makes her a Taurus? Mmmmm don't know much about Taurus's but will have a look when the book arrives.

    Thanks

    You're welcome Tkay.

When I worked in recruitment, I used it to look up people that didn't seem quite right to me & it usually gave me the answer I was looking for. Saved a lot of time with "tyre kickers" & people who were going to be trouble as placements.

Mish is a Saggie (9th of Dec) ... very gregarious & bowls through life, sometimes at her own peril. Tara is a Pisces (28th of Feb) ... very sensitive with the weight of the world's problems on her shoulders. She's had lots of health problems, mostly created in her own mind if she's left to think about things too long. She's improved heaps since Spirit joined us. Spirit is an Aries (6th of April) ... oh boy !! A very happy little girl with a robust constitution, but EVERYTHING has to be about HER. If Tara has a toy she wants, she runs through the house, head flung back & "Woo, woo" all the time. If dinner isn't served up when she thinks it should be "Woo, woo". Life certainly isn't dull with little Spirit in our lives. She's aptly named.

It will be interesting to see what you think when you get the book & have a read. You start off reading about one person/pet & before you know it ....

It's amazing how different each dog can be eh? Jenna is only my second ever dog and very different to Holly, my old labrador, much more reserved and ladylike.

Anyway my littlest is begging me to go in the pool, so I'd better go supervise.

    Cheers

For example. Here is Tara as she hears the water going into the bath for her weekly dip .... just pityful Tara. The time before this, she climbed into that cupboard over all the stuff & closed the door behind her. Unfortuately, the long fluffy tail sticking out was a dead set give away as to where she was hiding ... which I told her at the time. Oh, and she will be 3 in Feb, but she's been that grey since she was about 12 months old because she's such a stress head.
