    Default My Turn to Rant!

I can not believe the attitude of some people!!! I was out walking Gomez (the beautiful skinny foster who I thought would not survive when he arrived 2 weeks ago - but has now put on over 5kg - still very weak, very little muscle tone) and my perfectly trained Noah this morning when I walked past an elderly gentleman in the street.

Both dogs were on short leads, one either side of me. I was talking to the dogs-no head phones on as I take training the fosters VERY seriously.

Anyway, this bloke walks past me and says......wait for it....."get rid of them"!

"I beg your parden" I replied, and he said and I quote...."take them to the vet and get rid of them"!

At this point, I didn't care that the fellow was old enough to be my father, nor that I am 46 yrs old, nor that I live in an affluent suburb.....I wanted to punch him in the head.....HOW DARE HE!!!!

I told him their were rescue dogs, saved from people like him who obviously hate animals.

Honestly you could have knocked me over with a feather, I was so dumb founded by his attitute.

I should have let the dogs off the leads and let them lick him to death!!!

    Ggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

    Come back line

"I'd rather get rid of people like you"

I try to think of people like that old man needing the handicapped car park for mental health reasons, like he forgot his medication.

Did you not ask him why he made that comment? Where does such rudeness come from?

I'm afraid my temperament would have come to the forefront and he would have received the talking to he deserved in the hope he could become a better person.

He sounds like a bitter old man. One can only pity him in the end. he will never know dogs, therefore he will never know love.
