    Hi JTDNTB

I'm taking this chance to apologise to everyone I have offended in regards to my stupidity (breeding, muzzle), nasty posts and any threads I was not welcome in.

I am also sorry that some members feel there is too many posts about Pit Bulls. This upsets me because as far as I can see most of them are started by me however I am only trying to learn as much as possible, even if some threads seem ridiculous.
I think I missed whatever caused the fuss.

Nobody can take possession of a thread, much as some people might like to. It is an open forum. There's no such thing as too many threads about Pitbulls or anything else. It helps if you give a really clear subject line so anyone who doesn't want to know about the thread topic can just skip it without having to read it to find out what it's about.

If nobody tells you what's wrong with Back Yard Breeding (BYB) or about Breed Specific Legislation (BSL) how are you supposed to know?

Anyway - didn't your vet tell you that your dog is Staffordshire Bull Terrier X, not PitBull X, so as long as you stick to that, and correct anyone who says different you're all good. If you're worried your dog might bite and hurt someone, it's probably a good idea to muzzle.

So many things that used to be ok with dog care - are completely frowned upon now but if you never ask questions and do your research - people aren't going to come up and volunteer the info (lecture you) either. So you need forums like these.

I can understand that SBT owners don't want their dogs on the BSL either so they complain any time a dangerous (biting) dog gets called an SBTx when it might not be.

But really they shouldn't be fighting other dog owners, they should be fighting the BSL itself. Otherwise it's like the story "They came and took the .... away and I didn't care because it didn't affect me and then they came and took the .. away... and when they came to take me away there was nobody left to protest or stop them" story.

I've got mixed feelings on the whole deal. If some councils are going to call any mixed breed dog a Pit Bull - I'm in trouble with Frosty. It's bonkers that "pit bulls" are outlawed but "Amstaff" are ok. If the law were fair it would be either both or neither. And given that there is no (blood) test for a specific breed, the law is essentially unenforceable on a consistent basis. It shouldn't be down to some dog ranger's opinion.

I think that the idea of banning certain people from owning or caring or sharing a house with dogs is a better idea. If you are responsible for a dog and it bites someone in a public place - then it's you that should be banned not the dog. Well the dog would need a new home if possible. Same as for abused children. Ie the child needs a new home and the abusive parent shouldn't be allowed near children. It would be good if there was a database of registered dogs, and humans banned from owning dogs and if the owner name and home addresses co-incide - then the human gets taken away.

Not so much 'plural' just that I know when I first came here I rubbed a few people the wrong way! especially regarding BYB which I think has all been resolved now.

For example me and Clea have decided to agree to disagree about some things rather than bantering backwards and forwards

but I had no idea that Mal didn't like my posts etc and I just wanted to apologise to anyone whom I had pee'd off and didn't realise it.

Judge - I sent Mal a PM as I was moving to his suburb and thought it would be good considering we both love dogs, lizards, snakes etc...

...He started a thread about how weird it was that 'someone' was moving to his suburb. He never once said it was me, but come on, I think it was obvious he was talking about me.

People just see things in different ways, but I don't think you should apologize for it...We don't mind your posts

People should be allowed to post and ask what ever questions they like!
Who cares if there are heaps of Pit Bull threads!? I mean seriously! What does it matter.

    hi JTBNTD

I finally caught up with M'-72's "suicide thread". It's not the first time he's "had enough". I wouldn't take M'-72's words too personally. Yes he got mad at some of your stuff, but he's been mad at other people's stuff too from time to time. And some of us (not me) have freaked out at the spider pictures.

Hopefully at some time in the future he will feel better and return, I like his stuff.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the full moon last night.

I haven't seen any threads yet as I just logged on. My thought are we can choose whatever we like to post about, some may agree, others might not.

I hate games threads for example, should the people who originally put them up apologise to me because I feel they are useless etc and a waste of space? Hell no.
Just because I do not go in them or post is no reason for them to do so at ALL. (mainly because I am useless at them, lol)

People's opinions are just that, whether spot on, misguided or downright nasty at times but that is all it is, THEIR opinion and no different in value or weight than yours are.

Any posts made under the name of Di_dee1 one can be used by anyone as I do not give a rats.

Di, those 'game threads' like The Word Thread and Count To One Million thread. They were designed when the the forum was a lot quieter. Gave members something to do.

Yeah, I don't have any interest in games etc on here, so I rarely bother. I've got to be immensely bored and desperate to participate. Then I realise it's time for me to move my butt and go do some renovating again! LOL.

That's why I started the Chat Thread - if ppl get bored as it's quiet they can go on there and simply chat about anything they want at the time.
