I guess Morgan is serious about ensuring that abuse is not tolerated.
He wanted to leave and before doing so made a lot of posts with excessive swearing etc. Yep going to be very strict from now on, hopefully it will clean this place up a bit.

    Good, I like that.

Judge, I think it was a little rude of Mal to make reference to your two threads as particular ones that irritated him. Actually I think it was rude to make specific reference at all.

I think Mal's nicer side will realise that when he looks back.

Morgan...I understand you have the last word in this Forum, but still want to say something.

    Please define abusive and/or offensive.

I thought swearing was bleeped out for a reason...what is the point of bleeping out swear words if they get you banned anyway?

I am going to throw this out there...have we all become overly sensitive and downright intolerant? Humans disagree, debate, discuss, argue, throw tantrums, get angry, swear etc...that just makes us human. It is impossible to ask people to be nicey nicey with everybody.

I know Mal decided to leave (temporary or permanent), but we also know he is suffering with depression. If we didn't like the way he was talking etc...then there is always ignore option. Could we have been more supportive and understanding (like we were with Puggerup when she had problems)...yes we could! I honestly think by banning him is the same as kicking a man when he is already down.

For the people who has taken the time to get to know Mal...he is a really nice bloke. Sure he could swear, but so can many other people. Did he speak his mind...for sure, but I didn't know that was an offence. Other members speak their mind in a more subtle way and get away with it even though it might come across just as "offensive". If I was to report every post I find offensive in my eyes...I would be a busy woman!

Your comment Pugga concerns me a great deal! You are "afraid" of speaking your mind in fear of being banned...........this is my point....the feeling of having to tip-toe around

I don't think so... You should be able to voice an opinion, but without denigration..

Exactly Mitte. There is a difference in disagreeing with a point of a debate or voicing a different opinion and being abusive or even inciting abuse or bullying.

A realist just finishes the damn thing and refills it.

Well i guess Pugger's comment is a perfect example of how things get taken out of context depending who's speaking/typing/reading etc.

Cleas or someone makes a comment and offers an opinion regarding Morgan's judgement to ban Mal. Pugger sees it as complaining.

Different words affect each of us.

Yes, different words do affect people different ways and each reads what they will into a post. There is a big difference though in abuse and flaming and just not liking someone's posting style.
