Default The NICE Thread - Any Subject...

Just went into a particular thread I had started as there had been updates, and it hit me once again that we could all do with a place where we can discuss anything to do with dogs (or anything else for that matter) without the need for bitching, sniping or nasty comments.

Can we use this thread to discuss issues in a calm manner?
Can we use this thread to learn from each other?
Can we use this thread to communicate more politely with people? Even if we DO disagree?

Only rules to this thread are:

    1) No picking.
    2) No word twisting.
    3) No abuse of others.
    4) No tantrums or spitting the dummy.
    5) No flounces.
    6) No disrespect to other members.

That about covers it. So, I shall start with the subject of dressing dogs in clothes. Who does it? Who doesn't agree with it? Who couldn't care less?

Please remember the rules! Thank you.

Too Paris Hilton for me.... I have done for photo shoots but otherwise NO! A dog has feelings people and they don't like being dressed up like a Bratz doll lol.

I dont do it myself although all my dogs have waterproof coats for winter time.

I dont agree with dressing them up just for the fun of it...however if on the rare occasion for photos etc I suppose it is ok

Yeah, well I have never dressed a dog up in clothing, ever. But then again I have only ever owned GSD's, and they just weren't the sort of dog that would take too kindly to it, that's for sure.

The breeder of my new puppy keeps sending me photos of the dogs all done up for their Christmas cards with beautiful Santa bibs and Santa hats. Now, I've never done that myself, but gotta admit the dogs look gorgeous, and don't seem to mind. Other ppl have sent me Christmas cards with Newfies on them without clothes, and gotta say I prefer the photos without clothes. I can see the dog that way! Lol.

I used to know a breeder in Qld who would constantly dress up his chihuahuas. never saw them without clothes on. That dude was one sick man IMO. When asked why he does it, he answered 'for my entertainment.'

Di, looked in the other thread of mine this morning and am very disgusted. I'm sure you will know why. hence, my starting the subject here. Hopefully it will be a better discussion?

Bandanas Cleas? Saw them advertised at the top of this forum. Where do you tie them? Around their neck?
