Thanks for the welcome back DA.

The forum seemed to get a bit bizarre with all the nasty posts around so I didn't really feel like posting much, I think a few others feel the same. Also I have had alot of stuff going on at home at the moment, so tried to read up on what was going on but never managed to reply to anything much.

Glad to be back but with parent's health as it is, could disappear again without any notice so apologies for that if it happens.

I posted a mesaage on Paw-Sha's home page yesterday but there was nothing else on there which I thought was a bit strange. Did she delete them all or do they disappear after a period of time?

I hope everything is ok Tkay. Hang in there.

Hopefully, with the new push for controlling abuse and flaming we can encourage some to return.

I think also real life takes over in most cases.

Other issues need our attention, jobs crop up, we get bored, headaches occur from too much computer...lol.

I know that after Thursday I will have my children home from school until February. That will make it difficult indeed to get on here very much, and I expect I will only be able to come on here in the late evening after they have gone to bed.

    Jeeeeeez.
    Im soooo annoyed!
My normal guy lives four hours away, and I don't want to call him out for one horse.
The second guy literally just doesn't turn up.
I left a message for the third guy last Monday, called him once on Wednesday, once on Thursday and left another message on Friday. No response.
I called the 4th guy just then, nope im all booked out to January.
5th guy, "Oh sorry, I only shod horses on propertys that have a concrete floor and a roof". What the eff!!
Im going away on the 21st for two weeks and Wiley needed shoes 3 weeks ago! But these friggin farriers stuff me around so freakin much. He's chipping, and the layers are peeling and he's cracking. Faaaaaaar out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well Myf, if you want it done sounds like you're going to have to call the norm out for just one horse.

Or you could do a basic farrier course? Could come in handy in the future.

Well see, I don't know if he would come out.
He usually comes out every 8 weeks and does about 9 horses but me and Wiles missed it so we were thrown out of wack.
I'll call my mummy, she'll know what to do

Truer words have never been said, Myf. LMAO.

Could try calling the other blokes again and pestering them, but hell, i couldn't handle doing that, it would irritate me too much!

Well mum was absolutely no help!
'"It looks like he'll just have to wait till after Christmas"

I'll take photos of his hooves today and all the other mothers on the forum can possibly help out a bit more and reassure me he'll be ok when I get back

PS. At what age do my parents stop having control over me? I was told just then that I have to buy a Christmas present for my 18 year old sister. But wasn't told anything about buying something for my 24 year old brother. Isn't that my choice?
