    Thank you for your post, Anne. I shall be watching 24/7 for that light at the end of the tunnel! Lol.

    You know, it could be a jealousy thing. My youngest has just started basketball now, and I have to say he is a natural and is drawing attention from coaches left,right and centre. My eldest taught him everything he knows about the game, yet he is now 'sitting out' while my youngest is our there being the 'new star.'
    Food for thought for me to consider, I think...

    i think you've found your centre hun...

    Between the blow out and him having to deal with not being able to do anything, along with being home and being bored (and starting on his little bro) will fuel the fire...

    Then you have the fact that the younger one is drawing the eye of the same people who were interested in him (and i dare say still are once he's better) and he cant compete or play along with him, and its worrying him that perhaps mr 9 will take his potential place so theres jealousy...

    I guess bringing it up and talking to him about it would be the best way, good luck though! jealousy can be one of the hardest things to break but hey at least you might be onto something!

    Thank you Jodz.

    I also feel he is at that age, or stage, where it is like if we give him an inch he will try and take a mile. Everything we ask him to do - which isn't much BTW, things like go for a shower now, do the dishwasher - will be done when he feels like it. Uh uh, I don't think so! So, I guess it's also a bit of that thrown into it all.

    I'll get there in the end, or else I'll just send him to his room for the next 4 years! Lol.
    His room is boring - no xbox or ps2 or wII in there. Ha ha.

    Don't sweat the little things. Eventually, if you have put the groundwork in, they grow up to be remarkable adults.
    A pessimist sees the glass as half empty;
    An optimist sees the glass as half full;
    A realist just finishes the damn thing and refills it.
