No, it does not matter whether we have been here for a year or a day. Without ALL of us here, the forum wouldn't exist. I will state however that yes, I HAVE seen quitea few comments referring to how long a poster has been here etc. It's irrelevant, but I do think it takes time for each person joining to get a 'feel' of the forum and all it's different individuals.

Come on, in honesty of course there are posters here we like, there are ones we can take or leave, there are one's we don't take to at all - just like real life. It is how we deal with the later that makes the difference between a great place to hang out with other dog owners, and a place that is hurtful and needs escaping from.

I only saw the Occy ones as they were pointed out to me. I was away when the fracas went on and I was not a member of the forum when the first fracas errupted it seems.

Due to recent comments I feel I am being partly dragged into it though.

Many of us have different relationships as many of us have been visiting these kinds of boards for years. I have connections because I run a rescue, I have connections through owning Pugs and I have connections through other boards. It makes for some confusion at times as it is like a small town where everyone knows everyone. 6 degrees of separation as they say

I have no issue with people who are new, old or in between and untill now, to be honest, I have never really looked at when people joined up. I usually just assumed I haven't noticed someone rather than them being new.

I agree DA that we all will have members we like, some we dislike, some we find amusing and interesting and the important thing is how we deal with it.

regarding this topic though, one thing I will say also is that I am no longer at the stage where I sit here and read back over everything I've written, just to check if there's one single ruddy word in there that may affect Joe, or Sue or whoever. It can get to the point that it's rediculous.

I like to think that if anyone has any sort of problem with something I write, they will discuss and confirm what I meant before lunging in and getting offensive. One can only hope, anyway.

Huh? I have no idea what you mean there. How can anyone be dragged into something that 1) is over; and 2) you weren't even here when it happened.

I'm obviously missing something. Alas, it is a common predicament for me I'm afraid. LOL.

    I guess I was mainly referring to this statement made by Cleasanta;
You and your henchmen are back on ignore!

Many of the posts here have been referring to the fracas with Pei people and Occy and Choppa and the fact that there were 'groups' of people acting in packs. I took the henchman reference to mean I was part of this activity.

Um, no idea. I feel like a mushroom here sometimes - you know, sitting in the dark. Lol.

Yes, I feel like that too. Half the time I am shaking my head in bewilderment saying 'what?' and trying to figure out what people are saying. It even took me a whole 24 hours to realise that Choppa was referring to this forum when she spoke of other people being moderators at the bginning of this thread.

Now, I am going back to meditating and hoping that only 'feel good vibes' will pervade the forum for the next for weeks. It is beginning to become tiresome!

    Ohhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Yep, and by the time I get half of it everyone has moved on. Lol. I'd be useless in a herd. I'd be the twit that was left standing there going 'hey, what happened to everybody?'

But Choppa correctly placed this thread in "Offtopic Chat." I believe that section is for ppl to discuss other things that have nothing to do with dogs.
Therefore to come into a thread (placed where it is, with the title it has) and make a post stating that all persons should get back to discussing dogs seems a little off base to me, sorry.

I've done the same thing Rosie's mum - gone into a thread and seen some things being said that may not have always been pretty; tried to calm things down etc. But you know, then I realised what right do I have to do that. Heck, posters getting things off their chest is at least communicating.

I personally think if things in here get too rough then Di will just pop back in and dole out her diahorrea (?) to everybody - that'll squalsh any heat quick smart.

    (Hope you're ok Di?)
You know what, all these arguments started in completely normal threads about cats and desexing and breeding.

All of your arguments have changed the entire feel of this forum! You only have to be in here for five minutes and read all the bull**** that has been said back and forth. And it's not just one person, it's all of you!

Frankly, I don' t have the time nor patience to sit here wadding through all the insults to find a great thread! I'm surprise that you all do! Don't you all have anything better to do????!!!!!

You've ruined it for everyone. I think I'll come back in a few months when everything has calmed down. Until then, enjoy your bickering. I hope it's worth it. Bye!
