It is cancer of the lymph system, kind of a blood cancer. At this stage it is only strongly suggested by the radiologist. I have a node surgically taken out and biopsied on Monday. Only that can give a definitive answer.

Thanks Di. I have a little bit of knowledge re leukemia and bone marrow transplants, and have heard of lymphoma but know nothing about it. Thanks for explaining at a time that you may not feel like doing so.

Di, well at least now you know, you sound like a strong lady so as soon as you get the definite answer, and the go ahead for treatment, you will handle it. Remember you must get a positive attitude and bloody fight like hell. You know my husband has cancer, and now with breaking his hip, he is still fighting, a little bit more sedately at the moment I must admit. There are so many different types of cancer, and the treatment has improved so much over the past 5 years even. I had spew bags everywhere, still have, in the car, on the fridge, bedroom bathroom & he never had to use one of them, and he is coming up to his 12th cycle of chemo, 3 days equal 1 cycle. You go kick its arse mate.

I will happily bend over for everyone to kick me if it is.

My great mate (the one I dressed up as a witch to meet her at the airport..witchy poo thread) had her son in for biopsy. His ct scan definitely lymphoma. We had news through today that he is benign despite all that. Mine say highly suggest lymphoma so I have a bit more hope than I did. It was ruled out once before but the nodes have joined to make a tumour, he had a mass too. I have had that many tests, xrays, bloods, 3 needle biopsies, all ok that it is really pissing me off not knowing and at least I will when pathology comes back after Monday.

If it is a good result I will post a thread titled...line up please to kick me.
