Sare has been wonderful keeping me informed and Nick called too, stoned to the eyeballs on 25mg morphine and zero pain lol. God bless the God of mobile phones.
I know exactly what he is going through. I had just over a foot removed from my bowel and they removed my appendix at the same time. They operated thinking I was having an appendicitis attack and then relaised it was the bowel. It was far more painful than childbirth even!

I hope your treatment goes well.

I just rang my son's wife's mobile and Nick answered. He lost his spot in the OP theatre as they called him to xray and made him wait an hour and a half. He was ready to walk out till I calmed him with my great news!
Whilst yes my PET scan showed some "hot spots" below the diaphragm they are within physiological limits and I am graded as STAGE 2! By this scan, Not 3 or 4. Whilst the road ahead will still be hard this stage offers hope of lengthened life and a slight possibility of eradicating it!
Of course I am going to be in the eradication of it group. WOOOHOOOOO

I had a text on my phone when I woke that Nick was back in the ward at 2am. They must have operated through the night. It was appendix. I have spoken with him this morning. He is sore (of course) and tired. He will be transferred back to the military hospital today.
Tell you what, with him fixed, my other son's bad and very painful tooth fixed yesterday and me being only stage 2, my world is awesomely good.

I will be having CHOP 14 chemo. Have to see a visiting heart specialist to see if after 38yrs of smoking my heart will stand one of the drugs and then hopefully start early next week. Woohooo. Have been advised to buzz cut my hair and I will, closer to chemo two. There will be 6 rounds, 2 weeks apart (if I can tolerate it or else it will be 3 weeks) then radiation.

I DO have my son's army cammo stuff as well as the cammy paint here, lol. I grabbed a couple of the cammy paint boxes for my local theatre company. The GI Jane look does not appeal. I AM MUCH MORE ELEGANT THAN THAT! Lmao.
