What Occy is saying is also very correct. What we think at 20 is VERY different from what we think at 30 or 40 or 50. So many things happen, sometimes just one big thing happens that changes us and our lives forever.

I do however think it is VERY wise and prudent for Liza to discuss this at length with her partner. If he is so adamant at this age about having children in the future, I would be concerned too if I felt like Liza does. Her opinions at this stage appear to be very firm, and they may stay that way, who knows.

What I HATE seeing is one partner who wants kids, one doesn't, and they stay together because one partner thinks they can change the mind of the other. That is very bad IMO, and leads to nothing but heartache.
That's what I meant to say, you said it much better!

Rant: Boy went on cruise didn't bother to tell me when he left because we were arguing. He should arrive home within next few days.

me and OH are having kids after we are married.. We cant afford to have kids at the moment. We want to be set up before we even try for kids. But since i had my op 18months ago, i have been thinking about having kids sooner. Im worried that i wont be able to have my own.

    Thanks Judge.

And Peta, I'm very happy things worked out for you! I had a 5cm tumor on my ovary that exploded...Luckily I was able to keep the ovary.

Im glad the operation went well for you Peta and also that it was benign.

I have had a termination in the past (something I very much regret) and have also had many miscarriages. I too worry that I will not be able to carry

However this is not something I need to worry about right now as my OH had the snip before he met me. We both want kids together...at some stage....but need to save A LOT of money to have a reversal done.

I wish you all the best Peta when you do decide the time is right

Lots of women who've had abortions or miscarriages go on to have many healthy happy children. I'm sure you're one of those.

Of course nobody knows with 100% certainty, that's a given. But there are people who are confident enough in their choices to get sex changes, get vasectomies, get their tubes tied, and make other big decisions. Nobody can tell anyone else that they don't really know what they want for themselves now or in their future.
